The best period to see them "in action" is while eating, early in the morning. Actually they can only eat Bamboo, they can eat huge quantity (up to 15-20 kilos) every day. And they love it. If they don't eat too much, they can go hipothermia, that's also the reason they usually exagerate with quantities. And that may be also the cause of their fat aspect.
When they are not eating, they take some time to play together, biting trees, climbing trees...
After a few minutes, probably because of the huge quantity of food they've eaten, no matter what activity they were into... they suddenly fall asleep.
It is really amazing how they can find comfortable position almost everywhere.
The nursery facilities are open to the public. It is actually pretty surprising how the whole ambient resembles a human nursery hospital. If Giant Panda are cutes, the babies are just too lovely.
Pregnancy period of a Panda is not really predictable. What happens in reality is that the new borne in most cases is delivered prematurely. It may weight only 100 grams, that's also why it needs special attentions and has to be protected. Also from his mother, due to her size she may accidentally kill him.
Watching a Panda in its natural environment is just amazing. You soon get addicted to them. The way they play, the way they move, they are just so funny.
In the entire world there are barely 2000 Pandas. It's painful that a so cute animal risks to disappear.
