Koh Phangan is stunning island full of beautiful beaches and landscapes (SEE ARTICLE). Besides, it is famous around the world for the Full Moon Party, held on his main beach onece a month during - of course - the full moon night.
The island has got 12 days hyper-high season, prices can raise a 500% in some cases. Actually there are parties going on during the days before the full moon as well. Moreover, over the last few years people started to celebrate also half moon, black moon. Oh yeas, there is also the "jungle party" held on top of a hill. During the few days when no full/half/black/jungle happenings are set, there are pool parties, foam parties, beaches parties.... Well, you have no chance to get bored here...
But let's just start from the beginning. All you need to participate on a full moon party is to wear some fancy/fluorescent clothes and get vivid painting on your body.
So far so good.
Well, now the "secret ingredient": the bucket. Full Moon party would not be the same if you don't get [at least] one of those special cocktails. An empty bucket, a bunch of bottles, and a handful of ice.
If you followed the rules thet may be a possible result:
Ok now let's go to the beach. Music is loud, it's not even 11 PM and already half island arrived to the spot. Plus hundreds of "taxi boats" coming from surrounding islands for the event
The party starts with some fire spectacles. Some to be enjoyed, some other requires special (bald? drunk? insane?) participation. At your own risk....
At midnight there is the crowd peak - everybody is now quite drunk enough to NOT control himself anymore.
Luckily enough (or maybe not) the sea is quite accessible for some collateral effects procedure...
The party never stops. Music invades and becomes part of the beach itself. On and on...
And the party continues. The dark side of the full moon party is only about to begin, it will last all night till maybe the moon disappears and the sun will rise again on the beach. But this is another story, isn't it? (READ PART 2)
